Everyone was friendly at first. Once darkness fell roaches started coming out from everywhere.
I booked on Priceline because I thought they were reliable. I called them immediately to let them know I wouldnt be staying the additional days and want a refund for the remainder. People were in and out slamming doors all night . Smoking marijuana in the parking lot and even had security outside who did nothing.
The next morning I let the desk personnel know I was checking out and would like a refund for the remaining nights Im not staying. She passed the buck to Priceline and Priceline passed the buck to them. The front desk person refused to give me a receipt, refused to give me the managers name, and then went on to tell me theres nowhere I can stay in Houston that doesnt have roaches. I was and am completely upset and plan to take further action.
I reviewed the policy and nowhere does it say I cant get a refund for checking out of an unsanitary facility such as this. The list goes on.

On February 28, 2024, at approximately 11:30PM I checked into the Red Roof Inn in Winchester, VA (Conf #: 630-90****). On exiting the Office and heading to the room the parking area was covered with garbage and trash.
I literally had to maneuver around it and there were places where it could not be avoided. Upon reaching the room the lock card did not work and I had to return to the front desk for a new card. On entering the room, room 142, the odor was stifling. It smelled like some kind of acidic air freshener that was so strong it became unbearable.
There was no cold water in the lavatory and turning on the shower, there was also little, if any cold water. The water pressure was so minimal that in the shower there was barely even a spray of water. The floor was filthy, (in stepping into the shower there was dirt on my feet from the floor that could be seen on the shower floor). Although I do believe the sheets had been washed, they were stained.
After 4 hours in the room, unable to sleep because of the odor, I checked out at 5:00 AM.
This is a hotel that over the years I have stayed at many times and was always pleased with the service and the cleanliness. I have not stayed there for several years, only because I did not need to stay near Winchester, VA., but I can assure you, I will certainly never stay there again, and will be very careful deciding if I will stay at any Red Roof!
I considered disputing the credit card charge, but I was so tired, and it was so late, I did not go to the front desk to complain, and so I will not do that, but I will let everyone know this is not a place to stay in Winchester, VA, regardless of the circumstances.

Honestly I wouldn't recommend it at all. Not only was the room I booked available but I ended up paying more for the room that had a regular tub rather than what I agreed to pay for a room with the Jacuzzi tub that I booked.
Then upon arrival I found out that not only was I not getting the room I wanted but that they had to have the water company come out to do repairs that day so I probably wouldn't have hot water for a while. So I didn't even bother with it since I did have a shower already and just went to bed.
And I'm not sure if you feel the same but I specifically rented the room because 1 I have house guest that have been staying at my house for quite sometime and wanted a peaceful night's rest and sleep in a little bit this morning and 2 to soak in a hot bath (which is why I booked the Jacuzzi tub to begin with) because I only have stand up showers at home and I had hoped to sit and soak for a while.
So the two reason I even got the room in the first place didn't happen because not only did I not get my room I had booked but I also got work up just after 8am by house keeping wanting to see if I was gone yet so she could clean the room. Mind you check out wasn't till 11 so I had plenty of time and again wanted the chance to sleep in a bit. But to top it all when I did go to take a bath this morning figuring that it had plenty of time to be hot by then i was shocked to see how red and nasty the water was.
Guessing from the rust and dirt from the water pipes. I had to let the water run for a good thirty minutes cleaning the bottom of the tub three times during that time before it cleared up.
(will attach photo) then finally once able to get in my hot bath at just before 10 this morning i soaked for a few minutes when i was bothered yet again by house keeping seeing if i was gone yet even tho i didnt have to check out for another hour. I would really like a response to this and if you could review my charge as well because there is no reason that I should have paid more for a standard room then I was for one with a jacuzzi.

We made a reservation at the above location by telephone using the toll free number on my Redi-Card. Your representative was very helpful and assured us we were getting the best available rate.
We were very happy at that point!
When we checked in at the Hurstbourne location Wednesday March 13, I informed the representative at the desk that we needed to check out a day earlier than we anticipated due to my wife's doctor appointment on Monday March 18. The motel representative informed me that the per day room rate would increase if she cancelled Sunday reservation at that time. I stated that I wanted to keep the lower rate and would cancel Sunday morning at the end of our stay.
There was no mention of a 24 hour advance notice at that time.
I gave more than 24 hours of my desire to cancel Sunday to our reservation and I should not have beeen charged $86.32 for that day. In my opinion they are stealing my money!
I am very unhappy about this experience with your organization and request that you compensate me with one free night at a Red Roof Inn or add the equivalent amount of Redi points to my account to have a free stay in the future .

My son and I parked the car and I wondered why I booked this hotel. I booked thru Priceline whom I trusted.
We walked inside and no one was there and it was hot and smelly in the waiting area. We waited a few minutes and decided to call the number on the board a man answered then came out of a room across from the check in desk. He showed us to the room which he said was his best room. The hotel hallways had no air conditioning the rooms smelled musty.
And dirty.It was the worst hotel I have ever encountered. Ice machine broken on 1st floor and none on second. There was no food like in the advertisement, no pool, work out area nothing. The grounds were unkept it was a terrible experience.
I would never recommend that hotel to anyone. I had to pay a deposit of 100.00 for any room damage what a joke. It was returned a few days after checkout. I took pictures of the room, the bathroom lighting which is a fire hazard.
I paid $215 for one night. I am not sure I will book thru Priceline in the future.

To the CEO of RedRoom Inn: I and my family were very pleased with the Red Roof Inn in Cortland, NY where they stayed for a recent Family Reunion. I was, therefore, quite surprised to learn from a friend who is staying at Red Roof Cortland during home remodeling that her room has a leaking hole in the ceiling and toilet problems.
Please corect these asap or move her elsewhere. She would not like to have to write to the NY State Attorney General, Better Business Bureau or a Letter to the Editor of the Cortland Standard newspaper. I look forward to hearing from you.

I was approached yesterday evening by management about some supposedly complaints from other guests. She stated complaints had been coming in for a while but yesterday was the first I've heard of any and I've been here for about 3weeks.
Ive also only ever gotten compliments about being a great guest. She first mentioned something about my dog, then when I disputed that then she asked to do a room check. After securing my dog I allowed her to come in then she changed her mind and asked to speak with me outside. She then says the fragrance in my room was the problem (which was Jasmine) and then says it was flooding the whole hallway Saturday but no one spoke on the alleged issues.
The complaints are shaky and the manager was all over the place about what was the real issue and reason for approaching me. We were asked to move to the 3rd floor and that is an inconvenience for me.

I rather you call me at 216-374-**** the staff was very rude the rooms were filthy staff walked right in my room without knocking he was going to kick us out on the ice storm because it was a problem with the goldas charge even and nothing to do with us we paid and had our confirmation and he still wanted us to leave and it was an ice storm other hotels were looking at people's confirmation codes and let them stay he wanted to kick us out my house just burned down I have nowhere to live they have a terrible experience but then I got degrading and humiliated and just playing old bad customer service and we paid the bill and I had to borrow money to pay it again I would just like a customer service call me at 216-374-**** that way I could tell you how terrible and humiliating and garbage my experience was

I went down to get coffee and a key card for my room.she said no to the coffee and walked away.I still needed a key card so I knocked on the door cause its freezing she would not respond.so I knocked again and told her I needed a key card so I can get in.so she calls the cops and tries to get me arrested.so please help me I dont want to go to jail for coffee and a key card.if I was white but since Im Spanish she called the cops and lied.Im in fear for my life.I just called my friend to take me off ur property cause I dont know what she is capable of saying.please help ur customer I booked the room for 1 week.everyone else I have meet has be so nice.this is my first time seeing this woman before.and hopefully u fire her so I dont see her again.I dont deserve to be treated like this.no coffee I dont understand but thats fine.I still needed to get back in my room

We booked a room for a week on 12/13/2023 to 12/20/2023 at one of your locations off Jamaica drive in Orlando Florida right off of the international drive area. Upon arriving and checking into our room we were blown away by the lack of cleanliness in the room not to mention the smell of it!
Exposed wires on the floor under the AC unit the bathroom had rust and paint peeled all off of the door. The tub was a nightmare of filth not to mention the water pressure was a nightmare. As opposed to immediately checking out I decided to go to the front desk to see if we could get another room a bigger room considering we traveled with our dog. The young man at the front desk said the rooms on the 3rd floor were much more spacious and bigger not to mention a *** of a lot cleaner than the one we originally were booked into.
However, in saying that the place is seemingly a dump in the aspect in the designated smoking area on the premises there were hypodermic needles all over the ground that we found while walking the dog.
There are cops constantly patrolling the area ppl are outside all hours of the day and night smoking marijuana to the point you walk by and get a contact high. This place was a true true disappointment

The hotel did not pass the buck. You booked and paid through Priceline.
They handle the refund. The hotel doesn’t have the authority to refund because around 30% of the price was a fee Priceline earned.
Priceline has been very proactive with assisting me in this situation. I received a email from them clearly stating the hotel will not issue a refund per your policy.
Though no where is it stated that no refund will be issued for leaving early.
As I stated I’m in the process of taking further action. Thanks
